New Analyses Show Antiviral Activity of XOCOVA® (ensitrelvir) Against COVID-19

Shionogi & Co., Ltd. presented new exploratory analyses from its global Phase 3 SCORPIO-PEP study at IDWeek 2026, evaluating XOCOVA® (ensitrelvir) following COVID-19 exposure. A pooled analysis from the SCORPIO clinical program demonstrated potent antiviral activity with ensitrelvir across various age groups, vaccination statuses, and risks for severe disease. The data also highlighted that even mild-to-moderate COVID-19 can worsen chronic conditions, emphasizing the importance of prevention.
