Positive Phase 3 Trial Results Reported for Oral Olorofim in Invasive Aspergillosis
Shionogi and F2G have announced positive global Phase 3 OASIS study results for oral olorofim, showing it was non-inferior to AmBisome® followed by standard care for invasive aspergillosis. If approved, this novel antifungal would be the first with a new mechanism of action for the condition in over 20 years. This offers a crucial treatment option for patients unresponsive to or unsuitable for azole therapy.
