Nigeria Confirms Imported Ebola Case in Abuja, WHO Offers Support

Nigeria has confirmed an imported case of Ebola Bundibugyo virus disease in Abuja, involving a traveler from Uganda. The World Health Organization is assisting Nigerian health authorities with contact tracing, patient isolation, and enhanced infection control measures. This marks Nigeria as the fifth country to detect the Ebola Bundibugyo virus since an outbreak began in the Democratic Republic of the Congo in mid-May.
