UK to Continue Indefinite Recognition of EU CE Marked Medical Devices

The UK government has announced it will indefinitely accept CE marked medical devices, ensuring continued patient access to essential technologies in Great Britain. This decision, made after public consultation, avoids creating a separate UK approval route for devices already approved in the EU. The move aims to prevent duplication for manufacturers and maintain a stable supply of medical devices, over 90% of which currently carry a CE mark in Great Britain.
