CDC Issues Attestation Requirement for Air Passengers from Democratic Republic of Congo Due to Ebola Risk
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has issued an Order requiring all air passengers boarding an international flight to the United States to attest that they have not been present in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) in the 21 days before their flight. This requirement, effective November 3, 2026, aims to reduce the risk of Ebola importation into the United States. Travelers who have been in DRC within 21 days before departure will not be allowed to board flights with U.S. destinations.
