Genentech's Divarasib Shows Superior Efficacy in Previously Treated KRAS G12C-Mutated Lung Cancer
Pivotal Phase III Krascendo 1 study results demonstrate that investigational divarasib, a next-generation KRAS G12C inhibitor, significantly improved overall survival by 44% compared to current standard-of-care KRAS G12C inhibitors (sotorasib or adagrasib) in patients with previously treated KRAS G12C-mutated non-small cell lung cancer. The median overall survival for divarasib was approximately 18 months, compared to 12 months for the control arm. No new safety signals were observed, with most treatment-related adverse events being low grade and manageable. These findings were presented at the 2026 European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) Congress and simultaneously published in The New England Journal of Medicine.
