Vanda Pharmaceuticals Reports Positive Phase 3 Results for NEREUS™ in Preventing GLP-1-Induced Vomiting
Vanda Pharmaceuticals announced positive results from its Phase 3 Study 3601, showing that NEREUS™ (tradipitant), an oral neurokinin-1 receptor antagonist, significantly reduced vomiting associated with GLP-1 receptor agonist therapy. The study demonstrated a 27% relative reduction in overall vomiting episodes, with even greater reductions in frequent (60%) and extreme (81%) vomiting. Vanda plans to discuss these findings with the FDA for a supplemental New Drug Application.
