Medicare Program Updates to Prior Authorization and Face-to-Face Encounter Requirements Take Effect

Updates to the Medicare Program's Master List of items potentially subject to face-to-face encounter and written order prior to delivery, and/or prior authorization requirements, are effective October 28, 2026. This includes the initial phase of implementing prior authorization for upper limb orthoses in New York, Michigan, Florida, and California.
