The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued an early safety alert regarding certain B. Braun Streamline Bloodline Sets used with Dialog+ hemodialysis systems. A manufacturing defect in these sets may cause the dialyzer connector to separate or leak during treatment. This defect could potentially lead to blood loss, interruption of treatment, or air entering the blood circuit, with severe cases posing life-threatening complications.
