Lifestyle Program Induces Type 2 Diabetes Remission in Many Younger Adults
A new study presented at the EASD Annual Meeting and published in The Lancet Regional Health – Americas found that over half of younger adults (under 45) with type 2 diabetes achieved remission within six months. This was accomplished through an intensive diet and exercise program, demonstrating a 54% remission rate compared to 4% with standard care. The findings suggest a highly effective non-pharmacological approach for managing early-onset type 2 diabetes.
