New Phenotypic Test for Antimicrobial Susceptibility Developed to Address Rising Resistance

A new phenotypic test called AtbFinder, designed to mirror real-life conditions for drug susceptibility testing, was discussed at ASM Microbe 2026. Developed by George Tetz, MD, PhD, of Second Life Diagnostics, this innovation aims to provide a better method for testing drug susceptibility in the face of increasing rates of antimicrobial resistance.
