US Central Command to Implement Maritime Blockade on Iranian Ports

The U.S. Central Command has announced plans to initiate a maritime blockade targeting all traffic to and from Iranian ports, effective April 13. This action will apply to vessels from all countries, but will not obstruct passage through the Strait of Hormuz for ships heading to non-Iranian destinations. The decision follows the recent collapse of ceasefire discussions between the United States and Iran.
