Gulf Cooperation Council Endorses Omani Maritime Corridor in Strait of Hormuz

Oman, in coordination with the International Maritime Organization, has established a temporary maritime corridor in the Strait of Hormuz. The Gulf Cooperation Council has welcomed this initiative, which aims to facilitate the evacuation of over 11,000 seafarers and protect navigation rights. This measure is intended to bolster regional security and ensure the continuity of global trade, coming amidst condemnation of Iranian threats to maritime freedom.
