US launches additional strikes on Iran after Tehran expanded attacks in the Gulf
U.S. Central Command announced additional retaliatory strikes against Iran, targeting military air-defense systems, coastal radar sites, missile and drone capabilities, and small boats. This follows earlier Iranian attacks on multiple Gulf states and vessels in the Strait of Hormuz. CENTCOM stated that forces began launching more strikes at 5 p.m. E.T. today to degrade Iran's ability to attack civilian mariners and commercial ships.
