U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that American forces have destroyed an Iranian surveillance tower located on Iran's Gulf of Oman coastline. CENTCOM stated the tower was part of a network operated by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) to monitor and target commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz. The action aims to degrade the IRGC's capacity to coordinate attacks on civilian crews.
