Russia Strikes Ukraine-Bound Gas Tanker in Black Sea, Injuring Three Seafarers

A Liberian-flagged LPG tanker, the Gas Lisbon, carrying propane to the Ukrainian port of Reni, was struck in the Black Sea approximately 20 nautical miles off the Romanian coast. The strike injured three seafarers and caused a major fire on board, forcing the evacuation of the 17-member crew. Romania's President Nicușor Dan stated the incident was 'most likely part of the Russian Federation's illegal war of aggression against Ukraine'.
