Israeli airstrikes kill Hamas police chief and others in Gaza, military launches wide-scale operation in West Bank

Israeli airstrikes in the Gaza Strip on July 25 killed at least three Palestinians, including Brigadier-General Abdel-Nasser Al-Maqadma, the head of the Hamas-led police force in northern Gaza. Concurrently, Israel initiated a wide-scale military operation in the occupied West Bank, detaining dozens, following a shooting incident on July 24 that killed two Israeli soldiers and four Palestinians.
