US Military Boards Tanker, Disables Another in Arabian Sea Amid Iran Naval Blockade

The US military boarded the Comoros-flagged M/T Charminar in the Arabian Sea on Saturday as part of its naval blockade of Iranian ports. This action follows the disabling of the Mozambique-flagged M/T Lavine in the Gulf of Oman on Friday, after it repeatedly attempted to breach the blockade. US Central Command (CENTCOM) stated that American forces have redirected 12 commercial vessels, disabled two, and boarded two for verification as the blockade remains in full effect.
