Israeli airstrikes in Gaza kill Hamas security commander, injure civilians, and destroy tunnel
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and Shin Bet announced the elimination of Wael Musa Khaled al-Ladawi, commander of Hamas's Internal Security forces for the central camps in the Gaza Strip, in a precise airstrike on his vehicle in Deir al-Balah on July 27. Separately, Israeli troops destroyed a Hamas tunnel in northern Gaza. On July 28, Israeli warplanes struck a gathering of civilians in the Nuseirat refugee camp, injuring nine Palestinians, and a drone strike on a residential building in Gaza City injured three more.
