CENTCOM Reports Enforcement of Iran Blockade, Redirecting 20 Vessels in Strait of Hormuz

The US military's Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on July 29, 2026, that it continues to strictly enforce a blockade against Iran, having redirected 20 commercial vessels, disabled two, and boarded two. CENTCOM also stated that US military support has facilitated the passage of approximately 1,000 vessels and 500 million barrels of crude oil through the Strait of Hormuz since early May.
