US carries out fresh strikes in Iran after Trump's threat to hit Tehran 'very hard'

The US military launched fresh strikes against targets in Iran in retaliation for an Iranian missile attack on a US base in Jordan. US Central Command also accused Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of threatening merchant vessels in the Strait of Hormuz.
