Houthis Claim Ballistic Missile Strikes on Two Saudi Oil Tankers in Red Sea and Gulf of Aden

Yemen's Iran-aligned Houthi rebels claimed to have successfully struck two Saudi oil tankers on August 6, 2026. The 'Wafa' was reportedly hit in the northern Red Sea off Yanbu, and the 'Daisy' in the Gulf of Aden, both with ballistic missiles. Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree stated these were the eighth and ninth Saudi oil tankers targeted since their maritime blockade began last month. Saudi authorities have not yet commented on the claims.
