Yemen's Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree claimed responsibility for a ballistic missile strike on the Saudi oil tanker 'Daisy' in the Gulf of Aden on August 5th. This attack appears to coincide with reports from the UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) of a commercial tanker hearing 'loud explosions' in proximity to its vessel in the Strait of Hormuz on August 6th. The Houthis stated the attack was part of their maritime blockade strategy.
