This attack appears to coincide with reports from the UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) of a commercial tanker hearing 'loud explosions' in proximity to its vessel in the Strait of Hormuz on August 6th. The Houthis stated the attack was part of their maritime blockade strategy.
