Houthis Launch Deadly Missile and Drone Attacks in Yemen, Killing Dozens of Troops and Striking Saudi Oil Tankers in Red Sea

Houthi forces launched missile and drone attacks on Yemeni government military positions in Marib and Hadhramaut, killing at least 38-45 troops and wounding dozens. Houthi spokesman Yahya Saree confirmed the attacks, citing alleged Saudi military build-ups. Separately, the Houthis claimed ballistic missile attacks on two Saudi oil tankers, "Wafa" and "Daisy," in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden. A dhow was also reportedly sunk by an Uncrewed Surface Vessel off Yemen, causing a fire. These actions mark a significant escalation in the Yemeni civil war and pose a heightened threat to Red Sea shipping and energy security.
