The Russian Defense Ministry announced that crews from the Pacific Fleet successfully struck a sea target representing hostile landing ships during large-scale exercises across the country's eastern maritime region. The coordinated attack involved Bastion coastal defense missile systems deployed in Kamchatka and on the Kuril Islands, together with the Smerch small missile ship. This military exercise comes as NATO expands cooperation with Japan and other Asian partners.
