Russia Launches Extensive Missile and Drone Attack on Ukraine, Killing Eight and Injuring 43

Russia conducted a large-scale overnight attack on Ukraine using two Oniks anti-ship missiles, six guided air-launched missiles, and 143 attack drones. Ukrainian air defense forces successfully downed 114 Russian aerial assets, including an Oniks missile, two Kh-31P/Kh-59 missiles, two S8000 Banderol missiles, and 109 drones. The main target area was Odesa Oblast, where fires erupted at two shopping centers. Across Ukraine, the attacks resulted in at least eight deaths and 43 injuries, with two women killed and six injured in a drone strike on railway infrastructure in Kharkiv Oblast.
