US Destroys Five Iranian Oil Tankers, Iran Retaliates with Missile Strikes on US Base in Jordan

The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed destroying five Iranian crude oil tankers in the Gulf of Oman and near Kharg Island, stating these were in response to attempted ballistic missile attacks by Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) on a U.S. Navy warship. In retaliation, Iran's IRGC claimed to have launched ballistic missiles at the U.S. Al Azraq Air Base in Jordan, with Jordan's armed forces reporting the interception of 18 out of 20 incoming Iranian missiles.
