Russian Drone Strikes Train Near Ukraine-Poland Border After European Officials Depart

A Russian drone struck a locomotive of a passenger train at the Yahodyn railway station in Ukraine, approximately 2 kilometers from the Polish border. The attack occurred shortly after a diplomatic train carrying former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson and other senior European officials had passed through the station. No casualties were reported, as the monitoring team provided an advanced warning, allowing passengers to be evacuated. Ukraine's state rail operator, Ukrzaliznytsia, suggested the diplomatic train might have been the intended target, having departed earlier than scheduled due to constant threats of Russian strikes. Russia's Defense Ministry claimed it struck 'railway infrastructure' used for transporting military cargo.
