CENTCOM disputes Iran's claim of naval mines, states tanker was hit by Iranian missile last month and drone this weekend in Strait of Hormuz

The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) denied Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claim that an oil tanker struck naval mines in the Strait of Hormuz. CENTCOM stated that the Panama-flagged tanker 'El Gaia' was hit by an Iranian missile last month and subsequently struck again by an Iranian drone this weekend while off the coast of Oman. The tanker is currently being towed by a regional partner.
