U.S. deploys third aircraft carrier strike group and additional Marines to the Middle East amid escalating tensions with Iran.

The U.S. military is dispatching a third aircraft carrier strike group and additional Marine Corps ships to the Middle East, adding an estimated 9,000 to 10,000 troops to the region. This deployment could bring three American aircraft carriers to the region by late October or November, creating an unusually high U.S. naval presence of over 20,000 sailors and Marines. The move comes as President Donald Trump has warned of possible renewed strikes against Iran.
