Taiwan Tracks 12 Chinese Ships and 9 Military Aircraft Near Its Borders

Taiwan's Ministry of National Defense reported tracking 12 Chinese naval vessels and 9 People's Liberation Army (PLA) aircraft around Taiwan between 6 a.m. Tuesday and 6 a.m. Wednesday. Nine of the PLA aircraft crossed the Taiwan Strait median line and entered Taiwan's air defense identification zone, prompting Taiwan to deploy its own aircraft, naval ships, and coastal missile systems for monitoring.
