Russia launches massive missile and drone attacks on Ukraine, Ukraine counters with drone strikes on Russia

Russia bombarded Kyiv with 21 ballistic missiles, some carrying cluster munitions, hitting civilian and energy infrastructure. At least four people were killed and dozens wounded across 12 Ukrainian regions. Russia also struck a DTEK thermal power plant, halting electricity generation. Concurrently, Russia claimed its air defenses intercepted over 800 Ukrainian drones targeting Moscow and other cities, with Moscow's Mayor reporting 630 drones aimed at the capital, resulting in two reported injuries in Russia. Ukraine's Air Force stated it neutralized 140 of 176 Russian drones launched.
