Moscow and Kyiv report drone and missile attacks, interceptions, and strikes on infrastructure

Russia's Defense Ministry claimed interception of 496 Ukrainian drones over several Russian regions, the Sea of Azov, and the Black Sea over the previous 12 hours. Ukraine's Defense Ministry reported intercepting over 8,000 drones and missiles during October and neutralizing over 43,000 tactical-level drones. Russian overnight strikes targeted Ukrainian energy and logistics facilities, and a cargo ship in the Black Sea carrying military equipment. Ukrainian President Zelenskyy reported 40 casualties from a Russian attack on a school in Komyshuvakha, Zaporizhzhia region. Ukrainian air defenses claimed 105 of 128 Russian drones were shot down in overnight attacks.
