Iran says 2 tankers hit mines, caught fire in and near Strait of Hormuz

Iran's Revolutionary Guards claimed on Friday that two oil tankers struck mines and caught fire in and near the Strait of Hormuz. The IRGC stated that these tankers had deactivated their navigation and identification systems and attempted to transit via an unauthorized route. This incident follows a similar claim by Tehran on Thursday regarding five other tankers. The Saudi-led coalition also reported intercepting a Houthi missile fired towards the Medina region on Thursday.
