Study Connects Pesticide Mixtures to Elevated Cancer Risk in Peru

A new study has established a strong link between environmental exposure to agricultural pesticide mixtures and an increased risk of cancer in Peru. Researchers used a high-resolution geospatial model and molecular analyses to demonstrate how these mixtures contribute to carcinogenesis. This finding is significant even for compounds not directly classified as carcinogens.
