Laboratory Research Explores Mosquito Detection and Learning of DEET

New laboratory experiments suggest that mosquitoes possess the ability to detect DEET and may potentially learn to associate its scent with food sources. This study offers fresh insights into the behavioral responses of mosquitoes to repellents. However, it remains uncertain whether this learned behavior manifests in natural environments outside of controlled settings.
