Paleontologists Uncover New Heron-Like Dinosaur Species in Patagonia

Researchers have identified *Kank australis*, a previously unknown unenlagiid dinosaur species from southern Patagonia, which lived approximately 70 million years ago. This raptor-like creature is believed to have specialized in hunting fish, utilizing a long, flexible neck and unique vertebrae similar to modern herons. Fossil evidence, including teeth, bones, and associated fish fossils, supports this interpretation of its diet and behavior.
