Telespazio announced the successful completion of an Earth-Moon-Earth (EME), or 'moon bounce,' communications demonstration on May 29, 2026. The test utilized a 32-meter parabolic antenna at Italy's Lario Space Centre, showcasing its capabilities in radio-astronomical communication and readiness for advanced space activities. This demonstration supports the European Space Agency's (ESA) Moonlight programme, which aims to establish a dedicated communication and navigation infrastructure in lunar orbit to aid future human and robotic missions.
