James Webb Telescope Detects Methane in Interstellar Comet

The James Webb Space Telescope has made the first direct detection of methane gas on interstellar Comet 3I/ATLAS. This comet also exhibits unusually high levels of carbon dioxide compared to water, suggesting a unique formation environment and chemical composition.
