Webb Telescope Identifies Methane and Unique Chemistry on Interstellar Comet

The James Webb Space Telescope has achieved the first direct detection of methane on an interstellar comet, 3I/ATLAS. This comet also displays unusually high carbon dioxide levels, setting it apart from solar system comets. These observations provide valuable data on the chemical composition of objects originating from other star systems.
