Novel Deep-Sea Octopus Species Identified Near Galápagos

Researchers have identified a new palm-sized deep-sea octopus, *Microeledone galapagensis*, found near the Galápagos seamounts. This discovery is notable as it's the first octopus species described solely using micro-computed tomography, avoiding dissection. Its small size is believed to contribute to a faster reproductive cycle.
