Researchers Develop Novel Platinum Compounds for Breast Cancer Treatment
Scientists from South Ural State University, in collaboration with international colleagues, have developed and tested new platinum-based compounds for breast cancer. One compound, AV1, demonstrated twice the effectiveness of a common drug in cell cultures and showed no systemic toxicity in animal studies. This advancement could offer a significant breakthrough, especially for treating chemotherapy-resistant forms of breast cancer.
