Hayabusa2 Probe to Conduct Close Flyby of Asteroid Torifune
The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) has announced that its Hayabusa2 probe will perform a high-speed flyby of asteroid Torifune in July. The mission aims to capture images from less than one kilometer away. This observation will also test critical technology for potentially diverting asteroids that could pose a collision risk to Earth.
