ESA extends 13 science missions and formally adopts new galactic archaeology mission, Arrakihs

The European Space Agency's (ESA) Science Programme Committee has made significant decisions, endorsing extensions for 13 ongoing science missions and formally adopting Arrakihs, a new 'fast-class' mission. Arrakihs, led by Spain, will study the faint light from galaxy haloes to uncover details of galaxy formation and the nature of dark matter.
