Stanford Researchers Regrow Cartilage and Reverse Arthritis in Mice
A novel treatment targeting an aging-related protein has successfully restored lost knee cartilage in older mice and prevented arthritis following joint injuries. Promising results were also observed in human tissue samples, indicating potential for a future drug to repair joints, potentially avoiding replacement surgery. An oral version of this treatment is currently undergoing clinical trials for age-related muscle weakness.
