NASA Advances DAPHNE Mission for Space Weather Forecasting

NASA has chosen the Dynamic Atmosphere-Ionosphere Explorer (DAPHNE) mission concept to proceed to its next development phase. DAPHNE will utilize twin satellites to investigate the influence of Earth's lower atmosphere on the upper atmosphere, where space weather phenomena occur. The mission aims to improve predictions for space weather disruptions that can impact GPS, satellites, and astronauts.
