Flash Flood Watch Issued for Northeastern US Regions

The NOAA Weather Prediction Center has issued a flash flood watch covering parts of the northern Mid-Atlantic, southern New York, southern New England, and coastal Maine. Residents in these areas should be aware of the potential for isolated urban flash flooding overnight. Rainfall rates could reach 1 to 2 inches per hour in some locations.
