NASA JPL Partners with Loft Orbital for On-Orbit AI Earth Science Deployment

NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory has partnered with Loft Orbital to deploy AI software on space infrastructure. This collaboration aims to enhance on-orbit AI capabilities for Earth science remote sensing and autonomous data processing. The initiative, part of the FAME project, seeks to reduce data latency for critical applications such as wildfire and flood monitoring, with flight demonstrations starting this month.
