Webb Telescope Identifies Unexpectedly Mature Galaxy Cluster from Early Universe

Astronomers utilizing the James Webb Space Telescope have located a massive and densely packed galaxy cluster, XLSSC 122, existing during the period known as 'cosmic noon,' approximately 10.4 billion years ago. The advanced state of this cluster poses a challenge to current theories of cosmic evolution. Such developed structures were not anticipated to exist so early in the universe's history.
