NASA Initiates Mission to Extend Swift Telescope's Lifespan

NASA has embarked on an unprecedented mission to save the Neil Gehrels Swift Observatory from de-orbiting after more than two decades of service. A specialized spacecraft, Katalyst's LINK, was launched to rendezvous with Swift and elevate it to a higher orbit. This maneuver aims to prolong the telescope's ability to observe energetic cosmic events.
